Driver Jeremy Hassevoort of Hamilton finishes polishing the chrome on “Gold Digger” owned by Rabbit River II Transport, LLC. Jeremy drives the customized truck to 48 states hauling frozen food.

Dr. John Iacobucci flies his high-performance glider 3,000 ft. over Ionia, MI. Dr. Iacobucci and about a dozen other pilots soared from Ionia, to Grand Haven, to Muskeegon and back in one day and with no power. The pilots watch the clouds and soaring birds to find rising thermals which they use to gain altitude during the trip. Check out this audio slide show I produced as part of a story for the Grand Rapids Press.

Vacuum separators pull iron ore out of the slurry at the Tilden Mine pellet plant. If you have a chance, the mine tour through the Ishpeming chamber of commerce is really interesting. Unfortunetely, they no longer allow cameras.
