Dr. John Iacobucci flies his high-performance glider 3,000 ft. over Ionia, MI. Dr. Iacobucci and about a dozen other pilots soared from Ionia, to Grand Haven, to Muskeegon and back in one day and with no power. The pilots watch the clouds and soaring birds to find rising thermals which they use to gain altitude during the trip.
